As human beings, we have an obligation to this planet, to our communities and to each other; an obligation to help lift those that are less fortunate than we are… those suffering from disease, those tormented with economic burden and those simply condemned by bad circumstance. Yet, the demands of everyday life… jobs, supporting our families, paying bills, planning for retirement… seem to exploit every spare moment we have available. And the excuse becomes any number of things; I don’t have time to do community service, I can’t spare the money right now, how can what I do even make that big of a difference. The challenge is to recognize that even the most minuscule of efforts… matter.
And so “Project Oath” was born.
As professional photographers, we’ve found ourselves in the lap of a unique luxury; a luxury that awards us the blessing of available time (what a concept, huh?). It’s plain logic that this available time should be used doing something more significant than tasting a world’s selection of Pinot Noirs (although, in all honesty, we’ll likely reserve time for said tastings as well).
Our hope is that brides and grooms will stumble upon our website in search of a destination wedding photographer, and that our words and photographs will spark a search for something much more substantial within them. Our oath is to in some way assist them on that journey, identifying ways they can make an impact.
